Pop singer Ricky Martin has purchased an apartment at 170 East End Avenue on the Upper East Side. Although it was originally listed for $6.495 million, Ricky was able to get the unit for only $5.9 million. The 40-year old acclaimed Puerto Rican pop singer and actor moved in with his partner Carlos Gonzalez Abella, an economist, and their twin kids Matteo and Valentino who are sure to love the 15-acre Carl Schurz park with a children’s playground right across the street.

The building was built in 2006 and has 110 units on 19 floors. This 3,150-square-foot luxury condominium was designed by Peter Marino and exhibits impressive 10-foot ceilings with floor-to-ceiling windows, 4 bedrooms, and 4.5-bathrooms, as well as a study and children’s play room.

Other goodies in their newly-acquired property’s never-ending list of amenities include a fitness center, squash court, screening room, virtual golf room, yoga studio, and drive court, just mention a few.

The only drawback might be the long distance to the nearest subway station. Although it is Ricky “frickin” Martin we are talking about here, the one and only Livin’ La Vida Loca star who sold over 60 million albums worldwide. If you were him, the subway station would probably be the furthest thing from your mind.

In 2010, he released the autobiography Me, which became a New York Times Best Seller. Just last November 2012, he was announced to be the coach on Australia’s version of The Voice.
