William Beaver House Soon to Be Renamed “15 William”?

William Beaver House, located at 15 William Street, is undergoing major changes. First, Rose Associates, the building’s property manager and leasing agent, will no longer continue representing the building. According to The Real Deal, the leasing responsibility has been taken over by Matthew Van Damm of Town Residential, while Cooper Square Realty will assume management of the property.

The Real Deal also noted that recent marketing material doesn’t mention “William Beaver House” anymore but instead speaks of simply “15 William.” Town Residential refused to comment on this topic, but it certainly looks like TR wants to turn some things upside down—and for rebranding purposes that includes the name.

The 47-story William Beaver House was built in 2007 as condominiums by André Balazs Properties. The building had a rough start with sluggish sales, and later on this proved to be the primary impetus for converting the 208 unsold condos into luxury rentals. The conversion, conducted by the CIM Group, the new owner, was quite the success and most of the 208 converted apartments were in fact rented out.
