125 Greenwich Street, an ambitious residential skyscraper in Manhattan's Financial District, is designed by the celebrated architect Rafael Viñoly. This 88-story building, standing 912 feet tall, is set to offer 273 condominium units, ranging from studios to three-bedroom layouts. The interiors, crafted by March & White (MAWD), promise modern and sophisticated living spaces. The building, known for its sleek design featuring curved glass paneling, aims to provide panoramic views of the city, including close-range vistas of the World Trade Center. The development, however, has faced challenges, including financial setbacks and market saturation, which have led to foreclosure and uncertainty about the project's completion.
The building, dubbed The Greenwich, is positioned as a downtown counterpart to Viñoly’s 432 Park Avenue, and despite its construction progress, the completion timeline remains unclear. The top three floors are designated for "The 88," a 15,000-square-foot amenities space that includes a private theater, fitness center, spa, sauna, relaxation lounge, and a 65’ lap pool, setting a new standard for luxury living in downtown Manhattan.
