50 East 78th Street located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan is a mid-rise building that is 12 stories high. It is one of the few elevator buildings that has pre–war inspiration. It is home to 41 apartments and is owned and managed by Siba Real Estate.
Each unit boasts striped hardwood floors, high beamed ceilings, and large windows. The formal dining room sits next to the stainless steel kitchen that is equipped with an array of appliances. The units are constructed with a balcony with southern exposures. The bedroom is equipped with a renovated bathroom while the master bedroom contains a wood-burning fireplace. In addition, the bedroom also houses a walk-in closet and renovated bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and separate walk-in shower. From this room, a French door leads to apartments’ second terrace. The space is very flexible and a 3rd bedroom can be created if desired, as there is a 3rd full bathroom.
Not only the rooms, but the building itself, including the lobby, has the pre-war details. Other amenities include a laundry room and package room. There is a full-time doorman and a live-in superintendent but no concierge.
Although limited access to subway connections, there is one on 77th Street, a short walk from the building. 50 East 78th Street is also surrounded by nearby attractions like the Museum Mile, Lady M, and Central Park. Restaurants and schools are also close by.
