The apartments at the Harsen House feature built-in closets, along with high ceilings, hardwood floors and washers and dryers. The hardwood oak flooring is FSC-certified hardwood oak, which comes from ecologically managed forests.
Complete with gas fireplaces with stone mantles, these apartments are a warm mix of modern convenience and familiar comfort. The glass is sound insulated to make sure the 24-hour noise of the city doesn’t disturb residents. The kitchen is fully equipped with brand-name stainless steel appliances. The bathroom is unfortunately sans bathtub, but the overall look of the room is comfortable and modern. The glass-encased shower is quite large for a standalone.
The building provides only the most basic of amenities. These include a bike room and a storage room to help keep residents’ personal belongings safe. The children’s playroom is a great place for families to drop the kids while they’re working out in the gym at the Harsen House. The lobby is attended in order to maintain a strong level of security in the building.
The Harsen House’s location in Manhattan’s Upper West Side can be seen as the greatest amenity of all. The building is sandwiched between Broadway and Amsterdam, putting it between great entertainment and shopping. With Central Park, Riverside Park and the Hudson River nearby, there is a lot to do in the neighborhood. The rest of the city is available via a number of subway lines that are within walking distance.
