On 2nd Avenue in the Gramercy Park area of Manhattan, the 8 towers of Kips Bay Court span the blocks of 26th to 29 Streets. These towers range in size from 12 to 27 stories high and the entire grouping of buildings is home to 894 apartments.
Each of its buildings has a lobby attendant, a live-in superintendent, a 24-hour security staff, and a video security system. All also have amenities like elevators, laundry room, and a fitness center, among others.
The buildings are designed to have only 6 apartments per floor for more privacy. The apartments are outfitted with parquet wood floors, high ceilings, carpeted bedrooms, and abundant closet space. All have full kitchens with granite counter tops, wood cabinetry with under cabinet lighting, and GE Profile appliances including dishwashers, microwaves, and ice-makers. The marble bathrooms are newly renovated and provided with oversized mirror sand tubs among other new fixtures. Many of the units also include dens, large sleeping alcoves, or terraces.
The buildings also have on-site parking spaces, which are available for rental. They also have private, enclosed courtyards that have children’s playgrounds and an activity court.
A wide array of schools, restaurants, and shops are near to the area. The Kips Bay Court has only the #6 subway line as the nearest point to and from the location, however there are several bus routes nearby, although they are in general a slower means of transportation.
