The Setai’s entrance is three stories, framed by bronze columns and a six-story base. Residents are greeted with a Zen lobby, which is meant to provide residents and visitors with a calming feeling. The NYC apartment building’s conversion took place in 2007, but the building was not that old at the time of conversion. The Setai was first established in 1986, making the building fairly modern but rich in the colors and comfort that were popular during that decade.

NYC apartments are judged by their floor plans, amenities and location, and it seems residents at the Setai would all agree these apartments make the grade. Each apartment features large, floor-to-ceiling windows surrounded by Brazilian walnut flooring. These windows allow light to spill into the rooms, adding to the units’ modern feel.

Each unit comes with a Bosch washer/dryer. The kitchens feature black granite countertops and brand-name appliances. The bathrooms feature a number of modern luxuries, including double vanities, Kohler fixtures and a rain shower. A mix of granite and marble gives the bathroom the sophisticated look reserved for some of the best NYC apartments.

Amenities abound at the Setai. The building itself features a number of common areas that should provide ample opportunities for entertaining guests for business or pleasure. With a fitness center, valet service, concierge, screening room and wine cellar, residents should find their every need met.

The location also serves as an amenity. The Financial District is rich in some of Manhattan’s most important financial institutions. These include the New York Stock Exchange, Wall Street and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. For those who work outside of the Financial District, there are a number of options for mass transit.
