Co-ops, Condos and Rentals in NYC’s SoHo

soho
SoHo, the area “South of Houston Street,” is a Manhattan neighborhood that started a trend for other areas in New York using acronyms to name their district. One area being DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) which Jerry Seinfeld teasingly accused New Yorkers of adding on the “O” because they didn’t like being called “DUMB”. Other neighborhoods include: NoMad - NOrth of MADison Square, TriBeCa - TRIangle BElow CAnal Street and Nolita - NOrth of Little ITAly. SoHo is a neighborhood that includes an array of boutiques, shops from world renowned fashion designers, restaurants, art galleries and elegantly-designed condos and rentals. The area is noted for its unique building facades, like the cast-iron architecture and industrial buildings that have been revamped into lofts, two distinctive characteristics in NYC real estate. The area also hosts an annual film festival and has been the site for many films such as: Raising Helen, Men In Black, Hitch, Ghost, Spiderman, and much more.
